the lord is very specific in his scriptures that there is only one way to heaven. We don't have to do anything to get to heaven except trust in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. now don''t take this wrong; i'm not preaching at you, i'm not condeming you. I just want to know how hard is that? All you have to do is believe that the Lord Jesus took your sins away and you will be saved, and will go to heaven. now you should want to live by the bible after that, but it is extremely easy to be saved.

How does one receive forgiveness with out asking for it? He gave the world a choice,to turn to or away from me. He cant forgive people who have turned,not because he is some omnipotent jerk, but because those people are severed from him and his forgiveness. Would it be sensible to ask another country to declare you innocent of your crimes in your homeland? God refers to true believers as people belonging to the "Kingdom of Heaven," which is why they can be forgiven.

I know in the bible Jesus is told to be "The ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus" Therefore (i am not judging, and i do not know 100% the truth) my guess would be that if they lived a good "earthly" respected, giving, happy life but... did not believe in Jesus. they would go to hell. We as christians do not know many answers but continue to ask me ?'s. also man, being a christian only means that you believe in Jesus and that he is the only one way to heaven. THATS IT! SIMPLE isnt it:)

yeah, lots of times we ask God, why is he letting all this shit happen to us, you know? I guess there really isnt an answer about why you didnt feel the presence of God if you prayed alot. I know in the bible it says to have faith when you pray and believe that it can happen and it will be done. My guess is just continue to pray and God will surely show himself to you in some way or another. Sorry about your troubled times . I wish you got the experience of prayer instead of me:)

if god is all forgiving surely he won't send non believers (but good people!) to hell?Im only joining in this 'debate' because i find it interesting. I just have so many questions which religious people haven't been able to answer.. the above being one of them.

i just hate religion. thats because i went through very hard times in my life and i never felt the presence of god despite all of my prayers. btw if there would be a god i think he wouldnt send a non-believer who lived like a good person to hell ;)

thats ok then... if you are happy thats cool i guess. i just got mad at that comment you made just for him being religious. I have had alot of bad times in my life and when i come close to God alot of my problems seem to "disappear" . My motto is "its better to believe for 80 years on earth and find out there is no heaven than for us to live without faith and when we die we find out we are going to hell. " peace
