For all of you that are putting down this "rap", you need to know. This was the FIRST popular rap song in the world. Don't believe me. Go ahead and show us another rap video that was made before 1981. Blondie and this song STARTED the whole rap movement. Most of the people posting to this message board that are putting this song down were probably not even born yet.

The way she raps is perfectly fine. This was 1980 and at that time, all the rappers, even the black rappers, had a very straight forward way of rapping, nothing fancy like the rappers of today are doing. Just watch Rapper's Delight and you will see what I mean, it's just freakin straight forward rapping, like fast talking, that's it and that's exactly what she's doing here and she's doing a good job. You try to be the first white rapper at the dawn of hip hop.
