I understand the investigation board said it was to late to abort SAFELY. I guess we have to believe them, no matter how strange the video looks. Re-post: The crash was caused by partial engine failure as the fuel diffuser for one of the engines got blocked, reducing power output of the engine to about half and unexpectedly preventing rising above ground effect.The pilot did not want to set down again because onlookers were dangerously close and he was not able to maintain stable hover. Instead he opted to gain speed since that would add lift. He had scouted the path beforehand and made the call that there would be clearance. (cont'd)
