Chicago is such a beautiful city. I love living in this area. I used to ride my bike to this.

When I finally saw "Koyaanisqatsi" a few months ago, I knew immediately that it was the inspiration for this video. I used to watch "Night Flight" just because they would show it. I bought the album, and IMHO the rest of it is pretty lame. The World Trade Center footage is heartrending. Who would have thought that would happen when this was filmed?

I agree, none of these scenes are in Koyaanisqatsi.

I was introduced to Jean Luc Ponty almost twenty three years ago when a local station,WDVE had a late night fusion program the composition played was Cosmic Messager. I have enjoy his music on and off ever since. thanks for posting.

I've seen Koyaanisqatsi probably 20 times, and none of these scenes are from that movie. Still, the style is remarkably similar.

Ron Fricke cameraman for the koyaanisqatsi and anima mundi for Regio plus chronos and baraka he shot/directed Im sure parts of or all of this is from koyaanisqatsi?this is also great Ponty- french violinist who had a sizeable jazz-fusion career as well as sideman to John Mclauglin- excellent to see again!
