People see whatever the hell they want to see in the flag. Racists fly that to irritate people, most southerners who fly it do so because they are proud of the south, in ways that dont have much to do with race. Black people in the south are reminded of oppression by it, and northerners see it as a racist redneck symbol.Everyone sees what they want. The General Lee's flag was the "southern pride" thing. It wasn't making any comment on race, nor was that intended by a major network show.

I got quite a kick of the music-I remember when this song came out in the spring of 1982. Funny thing was I only heard it twice on country radio, the 2nd time I taped it. I never heard it again aside from my taped version until I found it several years ago. I've found out over the years that not too many people (including Dukes fans) know about it. Good to see scenes from the 1st (& IMO best episode)from one "train" guy (& B body owner) to another (Chessie/B&O C&O-Purrfect Transportation)
