European Arianespace, the world's first and largest commercial space transportation company, is behind the Ariane 5 rocket. On 10 December 1999 an Ariane-5 from Kourou, French Guiana lauch "XMM-Newton", the biggest science satellite ever built in Europe to date. With the most sensitive detectors and telescope mirrors ever developed in the world, XMM-Newton is detecting more X-ray sources than any previous satellite, helping to solve many cosmic mysteries of the violent Universe, from what happens in and around black holes to the formation of galaxies in the early universe. And this Solid Rocket Boosters are called EAP, Étage d'accélération à poudre and not booster or an other. Its a french rocket, so in french
