WOW I couldn't have said it better. I hear "Don't Go Breakin ..." on the radio and think to myself ,WHAT THE F*** WAS HE THINKING. So much talent in the EARLY days. I COMPLETELY lost respect for him (for lack of a better term) when he performed that piece of crap (for lack of a better term) at Princess Di's funeral.

elton is also the reason for bernie's success. read the lryics..then hear elton sing them. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS..yet together, wonderful. yin/yang. elton sang those songs geniusly, as good as bernie ever wrote them. better. godbless.

Don't go breakin' my heart was the beginning of the end that led to all of Elton's 80 crap; Bernie is 100% the reason for Elton's success- as well as my love for his (their) music.

Love you Bernie!Taupin is a lyrical genius.I love his imagery...so pretty but so easy for him.And "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" in 5 minutes, and that means just another #1 hit and another platinum disc on the wall-some people would die for that pleasure just once. And Bernie and Alice Cooper ended up doing "From the Inside" in '78.

What I love so much about both Elton and Bernie is that they've managed to stay working together this long and still have new material coming out. They really are an amazing team!
