They are picky eaters. They do not feed solely on nectar. They also eat fruit and live animals. Omnivore. Man I miss my sugar gliders :[

Actually, in the wild, apart from insects & things, they feed on nectar of native Australian trees in flower, hence the name Sugar Glider. In natural habitats, they are confined to forests, mostly mountainous, even snow prone areas, where there are fewer predators.

It wasn't adopted . Someone let it go or it got away frome someone. I think they let it go, because its just so stinking friendly. Is what a hassle? Adopting one or having one? Yes to both(but worth it, i think). Most GOOD adoption places what to make sure this is the last time they deal with this animal!!! No they arn't free, unless you FIND one . You must spend lots of time with them(at night). So if you like to sleep all night, yeah its a hassle.
