This is Xgl/Compiz(now known as Beryl Project) running on my secondary comp which is a 4 year old dell with 2.4 ghz P4 proc, Nvidia 6600 GT gfx card, and only 512 megs of RAM.The music is Sidology Ep 2: Trinity, By Machinae Supremacy.This Linux install was SuSE 10.1 and I now use Sabayon Linux. Which you can get here: http://www.sabayonlinux.org Three versions include Mini CD install, Full x86 32bit install and Full x86 64bit install DVDs!The theme is a custom theme; which unfortunately I lost when my main hardrive died on me. :(However, you can get the wallpaper I used from my box.net account here: http://www.box.net/shared/stat... few other cool backgrounds here: http://www.box.net/shared/stat... http://www.box.net/shared/stat... original backgrounds I downloaded from www.caedes.net; a great site which has many many more awesome backgrounds. @CmdrTobs When was the last time you installed Linux? Last Century? lol The Reality is that depending on the distro, Linux Desktop OS installs easier, faster and with more codecs and applications than Windows could ever dream of. All pre-installed. Most all hardware has drivers that when installing Vista or XP simply aren't there. That are all included in Sabayon Linux and if a person or child couldn't install it, they are most likely severely mentally challenged!!! Simple install and use!

For Servers? YES! For time critical applications? YES!For the average home User PC NO!Not sure what a partition is? Not sure what MBR is? Think a kernel is something to do with fried chicken?Then Linux is NOT the best for you! lol can you imagine explaining down the phone to your 50-something yr old mum how to add kernel args to her grub profile? Or explaining why and how she must now become a root user to add a on-line repository just get some codecs to watch an Ophera Clip? I can't.

Hey, that runs so smooth :S in my Debian Lenny, with compiz fusion, it doesnt look that great, its like kinda slow, some tips for make it up fast ?

The music is Sidology Ep 2: Trinity, By Machinae Supremacy. It's a Swedish SID Metal Band! ....SID is the chip in the Commodore64. They've made game music and have the chip in their sound board! Overworld is their newest album: Dark City, Need for Steve, Violator, etc. All are Great!!!
