Pele was the complete player and a gentleman on the pitch, in my opinion the best ever, will never be a more complete player! As much as maradona was an unbelievable player, he was also a disgrace and a cheat. This for me sums it up-Pelé sent a soccer ball to the family of George Best saying, From the second best player in the world. Maradona said of his superiority to Pelé, Lets be serious: dont compare me with him any more"Pele is a hero, Maradona is a celebrity.

maradona was better than pele, dont be stupid u guys seriously......maradona domated the whole players and invented basically every tricks in freestyle and in matches, pele scored more than 1000 goals but i bet maradona could of score more if he was born in his century

"MovingMutant", you are correct.You said the truth.But,there is the other face of the "circle"...1975 till today: defensive tactical positioning improved; the players have much more pression ( the "media", the transfers, the opponents...); everybody knows well everybody: teams are better prepared to face opponent key-players. In 2 weeks, a player in spain or england or portugal makes much more atletic effort and Time + Space are shorter. Plus: they have a great Pass to honor and elevate!
