How Schubert touches my heart when allowed to speak with his own voice, as he is allowed to here! To the beloved ABQ, I say: Thank you for this wonderful performance--if there is any way for you to continue playing together, please consider it. After all--you are, technically, a different group than you were originally. Perhaps new times allow new alliances? Only an idea, of course...

Oh... what a heavenly music! Two cellos' lovely duet makes cry. ABQ performances are very inspirational! Thanks for posting this.

This is quite good. I love the theme that the celli play as a duet and keeps reappearing. The first time I heard it, I almost cried because it's so beautiful.

Judging from the color of the cello this isn´t the Montagnana, but the "Mara" Strad.

Is Schiff using his Montagnana here? the sleeping beauty? i really wanna hear this instrument and i'm aware that he is the current owner

Abslote Brilliance by Schubert. Performance is wonderful.

Very nice, expressive, and Charisius shines here (the violist becomes the unavoidable focus point of a cello quintet). However, in this movement (esp. the introduction) the tempi are a bit too much of a roller coaster for my taste. The "groove" is tripped up too much. At 05:23/06:25, the dramatic viola/cello-2 power-walks do not emit enough "spunk". Too bad the ABQ is breaking up.
