Vai and Satch are very different styles. I'd say overall it goes Vai

hes a great example of guitarists who can play fast but also have emotion incorporated into the song unlike half of the people that think they are sweet just bc they can play fast but it just sounds like cars crashing into each other.

Ive seen Yngwie live and that was an awesome performance. But I didn't like it 'cause he didn't play Evil Eye.Out of the named guitarrists p there, I prefer Gilbert to Vai/Satch/Yngiwie, but not because of his technique, hability, etc.. just 'cause I like his music better

you can't just compare the best guitarists, they're all excellent in their own league. people, stop spitting crap like "petrucci > vai" or "gilbert > satch"...they're ALL awesome, gifted guitarists and have different styles.
