"It's the end of the decadeIn another ten years timeWho can say what we'll findWhat lies waiting down the lineIn the end of eighty-nine..."When I listened to this part of the song I bursted into tears.....Hate is just a waste.....In this life where time goes so quickly in a short period of time....That song is from 1979, and look at it now is almost 2009. the end of eighty-nine passed in a blink of an eye.........

Ma pensa un po', 'sti rumeni dei miei stivali, che Dio li strafulmini, vedevano negli Abba il segno della libertà. Forse aveva ragione Ceasescu, su di voi, poveri idioti senz'arte né parte...

One of the most beautiful things in my childhood. We rarely heard music "from the West" as Romania was still Communist. But when I heard this for the first time on an ancient VCR I had a revelation, a revelation of freedom and pure beauty, beyond propaganda and party lies. I knew that life was more than what we had. I was only 10 and I knew all these just by hearing this awsome song on that ancient VCR.Thank you Abba. |
