Kite For Sail is now introducing the F-10 fuel saving kite - a new compact kite system for vessels up to 40 feet in length. The F-10 generates 10 horsepower under optimal conditions and can reduce your fuel bill. The kite also serves as alternative propulsion encase of engine failure. The team at Kite For Sail has been developing kite systems since 1999. Their focus has been on creating safe reliable performance systems that enable multipull launch and retrievals at sea. The F-10 kite can pull vessels not only downwind but on all normal sailing courses across the wind. The F-10 is easy and enjoyable to control under sail. This is a good introductory system for all types of boaters.

The kite can be flown on all courses, even strait into the wind with the help of the engine. Fuel savings is possible on all downwind courses and reaching courses up to 45 degrees into the wind.

Looks good downwind but how does it go tacking close to the wind?

We were cruising between 7 and 11 knots. The F-10 kite system can be used on vessels up to 40 feet in length.

With the cost of fuel as high as it is, using wind power makes so much sense. Kite for Sail is truly an innovative leader in developing these systems and I know their work is going to revolutionize the way boats are powered.
