The storyline is the same as in the original Broadway musical, but I'll just kill Anthony and Johanna.... Its not based on them and they are not the major characters. And it isn't based on the movie because I finished the adaptation in 2005 and only now it has been approved...

The movie is BASED on Sweeney and his vengeance. Not the love that Anthony has for Johanna...what would happen to Sweeney anyway in your play? And I doubt you're doing a play, you're just so happy about th movie that you WANT to do a play.

I'm sorry that is a crappy ending. this story has so much darkness and so much death, the light in the story is the relationship between Anthony and Johanna. By killing them you would make the story unbearably dark. and also why would you even change sweeney todd in any way and for what?
