Tell congress to pass the bill giving company's like Siemens and Mitzubishi the tax break allowing them to continue wind farms, otherwise the dream of green energy may be killed

sylfamas, yes, it would definitely help. The problem is no one seems to want to tell us the actual output of these devices. HOME POWER magazine recently pointed out that the manufacturers don't tell us this power output information--but they too refuse to test the devices themselves! (Which is what I thought was their main purpose!). It is like the old Corvair controversy. No one--neither CAR & DRIVER, Scientific American, 60 Minutes etc. etc. ever tested the car, nor quantified their tests.

the standard are producing 1300 Mw per hour, this is producing 1.8 Mw per hour. More than you need in a normal consuming home, especially if you have 2 or 3 of these things.

well the big wind turbines generate some 1300Mw per hour. I gues this is just a few Mw per hour, enough to suit all your home electrical needs.

Go to the website given at the end of the video. You will see the power outputs there. The double turbine shown is said to produce 1.8kw of power.

Excellent. Apart from the excellent design, the idea of building the machine that generates electricity from the wind (or any other source for that matter), INTO the building as part of the architecture makes so much sense.... although your working model seemed to be on top of a roof so that's not really part of a building - have you done any designs for new build where the machines are an integral part of the building. .

They do make cute wind toys... Was that a generator or motor? I can't tell.

Sorry, thanks for the explanation.

I meant a standard windmill with three props that can produce 1.5 megawatts. I'm with you...Foreign oil usage has to stop!!! Windmills rule |
