Those are all MAY's.First older sugar gliders are a lot harder to bond with. Specially from a rescue you don't know what kind of abuse he may have gone through. I know lot's of sugar gliders who are on their own and are doing just fine. Though it is RECOMMENDED to have two :) specially if you don't have a lot of time for him. The best thing you can do and that everyone recommends while bonding is carry him with you a lot and try to get him to eat a small bit of honey or yogurt from your finger.

you have to bond with them 4-8 weeks after they come out of their mothers pouch, they most likely wont bond with you after that

U don't have to get them in pairs, it depends on how much time u spends with them. Me and my friend have 2 brothers, and they dont like eachother so much. And mine is doing just fine, hes a funny lil baby and hes with me all the time. Right now he wakes up around 5pm, but just a week ago he got up at 11am!!! :P He actually wants to write something to u guys now lol (jumped to my computer) And your sugar glider is very cute!!!

Wow, TWO years? I don't have a sugar glider, and I'm no expert, but I know that sugar gliders need a lot of attention and about 3-4 hours a day should be spent with them. Also, you should never get one alone. They are extremely social and need a companion. A sugar glider that is alone may become depressed, withdrawn and unhealthy; it may even die from loneliness.

My sugar glider absolutely hates me. I got him from a rescue two years ago and he still hasn't warmed up. any suggestions?
