I'm so sorry: I thought comments here would be from intelligent people - I didn't realise it was for morons as well. Let me write very slowly for you. Firstly, liking a particular writer makes me neither good nor bad. Secondly, I'm English so probably less bothered than you about the USA. And thirdly, wanting to see a cretin like Sarah Palin in the White House says more about a person than liking New Who. When you have something intelligent to say about Dr Who (or politics) let me know.

Funny, I was about to call you something along the same lines. You know, something in accordance with your willingness to defend a crap writer, who writes crap stories, and devises crap ant-climaxes?Ooooh, I know! I'll just call you GIT! How's your day been, Git? Hey, what do you think of Barack Obama getting elected, Git? Do you like movies with gladiators, Git?

You make some good points. And i have to totally agree on two points. The new DW has got to preechy on morality and im sick of hearing how amazing humans are. And the new series is a bit on the soft side when it comes to violence. One thing is for sure though: Davies has ressurected a British classic, and despite his changes he knows the Classic as well as any DW know-it-all. If he had juts copied the original it would have failed for the same reason it did in the 80's..DW needed a facelift!

new only looks better but everything else goes to old except explosions and plot in my opion if u don't agree DON'T give me thumbs down doctor who rules one thing does the docter MAINLY try to get away from the daleks?

And while we're at it, Dr Who a bit gay? Well I never! Have you ever actually seen classic Who or read about it? I think you'll find campness is something that RTD DIDN'T introduce to Who. Presumably if the Doctor were real, he'd be a Daily Mail reader would he?

Very funny m001900! Yes, with RTD gone I am looking forward to a show that despises the joys of life; has no emotional content; plenty of graphic and gratuitous violence; a Doctor who is dislikeable and despises humanity; and a show that pays little attention to characterisation. Roll on Series 5, I say. (Because of course, Steven Moffat is famous for these kinds of stories.)

At least RTD is getting the heck out now. Maybe we can get a show that isn't FULL OF THE JOYS OF LIFE (ie gay).
jamiebuzzeo (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
you are right, the old ones are great, even if the effects were bad,and what happend to all the classic daleks!
m001900 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
yes my young padawan, but be weary of the power of the force. Hate, excitement, RTD's left testicle -- a Jedi craves not these things. |
