tanicloud, nobody knows: even the Valar don't. But after they die, their souls pass to the western shores of the Undying Lands, where Nienna the lady of sorrow judges thems and gives them a boat. In that boat they sail out of the world to some unknown destination. My humble guess is that they travel to meet Iluvatar the Creator.
