Hard core old fans will remember the classic episode "A Piece of the Action." In that ep. Kirk and Spock jump in an old car. {make and model? circ.1920 something} Kirk reacts like he's never been in an automobile before. And until this film HE HASN'T! I my opinion this is what makes us older fans a little sceptical regarding this film. If the writers will ignore such little things about a character then what else will they ignore or make up? I'm still hoping this will be a great movie.

xvx- Paramount keeps milking this this dead cow because they simply have no ideas. That, or they have no courage to "boldly go" where producers haven't gone before. It's all gotten so silly. Worst of all, the director is J.J. Abrams. This man always assumes everyone in the audience is 16 years old. I always feel like I just watched a video game instead of an intelligent movie. I think I'll just rent "Serenity" again...and wait and wait some more.

I really don't know what to say. The final nail in the coffin for the franchise I think sums it up nicely. Thanks alot.

im thinking that the best way to see this movie is to go with an open mind, and not even TRY to compare it to the old series. ANY comparison is gonna piss you off otherwise.

Seen the move clip and I've seen enough. Bring back TNG crew.

"is this star trek the hills?"Ermmm, when you watch "The Hills" you will see that your criticism has no merit.
