The Ballad is a very underrated piece. It's a masterpiece up there with the best of Liszt and Chopin.

It's "Lyric Pieces for piano, Book 4, Op. 47- No 3, Melodie"Yes, it is so beautiful ... Grieg's authentic Norwegian style with such pureness... It's quite like a story. In my opinion, it is the most cantabile of all music for piano that I've ever heard.
