if you are just starting out, listen to the 9th symphony in its entirety. The third movement is breathtaking and the fourth is incomparable. It is still the most powerful piece of music ive ever heard. it is perfection

With todays modernist music its damn near impossible to hear in your head what you're doing. back then there were rules, (which beethoven abruptly broke,) but rules of harmony that guided you.

Wow I just recently began to listen to classical music. It is amazing everytime I hear it theres something I didn't catch the first, second or third. And the feelings I get are crazy, I get sad, happy then excited then terrified its amazing. I cried the first time I listened to moonlight sonata. Please keep posting stuff like this guys help me find more like this.

Its really not as impressive as its made out to be- Someone of beethovens genius and training would hear the music in his mind, then merely write the music down. conducting when your deaf is near impossible, but for any great composer to write without being able to hear, is very doable

La disposition des diverses parties de l'orchestre est originale et impressionnante.
