If you believe that homeopathic medicine can treat ailments better than medicine that has been scientifically proven to work, you are acting irrational. In this short video James Randi explains homeopathy. This is a portion of the lecture Randi gave at Princeton in 2001. The full video is here: http://www.rationalresponders....

Anyone had a positive experience of a homeopathic remedy? I have and I am not an homeopathic physician - just experienced a positive result on three occasions for the same problem that would have otherwise meant a visit to the doc and a script for antibiotics.

you have to test it on living beings...the vital force

However, the homeopathy works or doesnt work regardless of your or my own experience. I'm not trying to argue that "I know more so just believe me". Which is essentially what you are doing with your 13 years claim. If it works, prove it. Dont just expect me to believe you. Also, saying it worked for me so it isnt placebo really doesnt make any sense. That sounds exactly like placebo to me.

It's an argument made from science. Please cite the meta-analysis that you think shows it is more than placebo. And make sure you've read it yourself first, im happy to debate evidence with you but I'm not going to waste my time reading up if all you've done is cut and paste.I have a basic foundation in biological science, currently in the last year of a biology degree. And as a child I spent several years taking homeopathic treatments for asthma, which didn't work.

It's an argument from science, obviously. Does the AMA define Avagadro's number or something? Your post makes no sense whatsoever. I've explained why people take issue with homeopathy countless times. The stance of the AMA has nothing whatsoever to do with it. So I'm at a loss as to why you keep referring to them. So, which meta-analyses are you referring to?And what is the (good quality) "non-anecdotal evidence"?

Sounds similar to the method of using leeches.

It's hard to challenge Randi's rationale, but maybe there's some aspect of homeopathy that isn't scientifically understood or recognised yet.

Yep . I still have to reply to your question.. Will take one hour or two hour to write it..So better have patience about it..Typing is a pain..So just for now it works.. yep agree with lot of people.. I should have found it earlier.. Would have saved me lot of Pain..And yep astrology also..so wait.. you just write on Net..so learn to wait

Really, so when people say that homeopathy cannot work because no molecules of the original substance exists in high dilutions, is that an argument made from science or from the AMA?Other meta-analysis of the homeopathic studies shows that it is more than placebo. And there is plenty non-anecdotal evidence, but the doubters always fine some reason to disbelieve.I have 13 years of experience with using homeopathy to know it's not placebo. What experience do you have other than posting online?

Excellent, you've come back. Presumably you're now going to answer these questions that must have missed me post repeatedly to you:What is your source for the "there's 200+ respected studies that show homeopathy works" claim? How many of these studies have you've read?Have you read or even looked up any of the studies people have referred to above?I await your answers with interest.
