no metallica is alot better!!! def leppard is more of a bubble gum band they do have a few good songs but no way they are as good for one look at style of the playing and look at the cords you tell me

Metallica is an entirely different kind of music. But if you want to base this on talent alone, Def Leppard wins this battle hands down.

I saw Def Leppard in concert in New Zealand last week and they were amazing. They are just as good as in the 80's and can definitely still pull the crowds. They sold out a 12,000 capacity arena.
