yeah exactly, or we can put it bluntly, we have an incompetent ceo,a man that drags his heels so much we have lost out on half a team of world class players, ronaldo david villa, simao an daniel alves are the names that spring to mind who we missed signing cos of parry, so gerrards loyalty can't be called into question

yeah, its in his book.gerrard expected a renewal of the contract after the istanbul finals but liverpool kept delaying it and not giving him one, all the while chelsea was being really welcoming. so gerrard felt really upset that liverpool wasn't giving him a new contract, thinking maybe he wasn't needed badly anymore. so yeah, hence the flirting with the blues.that summer was really depressing for him. its obviously a mistake he'll never make again.

gerrard is one of the most skillful, determined and honest players in the world.even alex ferguson admitted it, and thierry henry and others.so he almost went to chelsea but he had a reason (liverpool kept delaying his contract, so he wasn't sure if liverpool wanted him), and in the end he chose to stay with liverpool.10 years at one club is really hard-you are bound to have temptations. it is the result and who you stay with that matters.gerrard is the one player that doesn't dive.
