I'm not sure who the exact artist was. They(he) also did Eric Clapton's "psychedelic" Gibson SG, which can be seen in many pictures and Cream films. I am fairly certain the artist was from some where in Europe.

Might that paintwork been done by The Fool Collective? I know they were one of a few at the forefront of hippie/psychedelic graphic design work in the late '60's, but they were pretty strong in Great Britain and Europe. It could've been one of the artists either in the U.S.( New York or California (San Francisco in particular, but I'm not sure - I kind of doubt it). Maybe it was one of Peter Brown's friends! |
