Billy who? Joel! Who's that? No analyze!

good video arrangement. I always liked this song. Good analogy with dynamic, enterprising, forcible, fresh, hardy, high-powered, indefatigable, industrious Elvis to battered, beat-up, broken-down, crumbling, crumbly, crummy Elvis.

In the Billy Joel's style, it seems to me written By Joel or to Joel

This song was written by Bernie about how he thought Elton would be viewed ten years down the road. Ironically by 1986, Elton WAS pretty much the fat burned-out drugged up singer described in this song getting written off by the press as a has-been. Just read the review of 'Leather Jackets'

artists take chances, try new things, fade slowly over time - look at Springsteen!

Great song. Brilliant. Hard to believe the same guy could churn out mush like 'I'm still standing' etc.
