The pictures at the end broke my fukkin heart, those children. Shit. It reminds me of the children being born today severely deformed and being severely mistreated in the outcome of the Chernobyl disaster. HBO had a documentary that showed buildings filled with the mentally/physically deformed children/adults who really receive no proper care and are just left to rot in institutions with abusive caretakers and such. Just disturbing and heartbreaking.

I seem to remember reading something that said the US military dropped more bombs during Vietnam, than all sides involved in WW2 did combined!, just madness. Not to mention all the chemical attacks the US used which continue to kill people over their today, causing birth defects, poisoned soil ect. Ugh, smh.

And you are wrong if you think US is some morally driven force that simply wants to instill democracy in the Middle east. When given democracy, Middle eastern countries often elect officials that are unfriendly to the United States economy. In the 1950's the CIA overthrew Iran's democratically elected president and replaced him with a dictator. Yes a dictator, but he was OUR dictator. The leaders of the United States wanted personal profits and a stable source of oil.

You're totally missing the point of the comment. We are still fighting insurgents. It is a lesson of Vietnam that outnumbering the Vietcong and having superior technology still wasn't enough to defeat them in their own country.
