I don't know what GH players you've been talking to, but the vast majority of them actually play guitar/some instrument and they have respect for the instrument. The vast majority of GH players don't pretend they're the best guitar players on the planet cause they can play a video game. Sure, there's the occasional person like that, but it's by no means a majority. It's a fun game (along with Rock Band) to play with friends. Why do you play any game? For fun and entertainment. This is no diff.
